A detailed account of my attempt to regain my love of cooking and gardening while dealing with crippling hand injuries. Not to mention doing all of this in a small town in the Mexican Rivera.
My Favorite Fruteria in Tulum, Mexico- main road next to HSBC!
This place has the best produce at the best prices. Plus they always giggle when I say "sin Bolsa, no esta buena para el mundo"

Well... problems
We have made some great dishes lately but I do not have a camera that is working. From what I have heard the humidity is a big problem. I will update with some upcoming dishes but I am sorry that there will not be pictures. and that is my favorite part.
I recently moved quite unexpectedly to a small town in the Mayan Rivera in Mexico. This is a collection of recipes, stories, trails, successes and failures as I try to regain my love of cooking and gardening while learning about living in a new country and a new culture. While dealing with debilitating hand injuries that I have suffered from for years.
Here in Tulum we have an abundance of fresh produce and small farms and stores with clean healthy meat and chicken as well as spots that sell fish caught fresh from the Caribbean sea.
On the flip side, there is a lot that we do not have that I am used to. All of the instant processed items are no where in site.
This is a blog about my rediscovery of the true basics. And all of the good food that we come across on the way.
